Every day, we experience moments similar to hypnosis. When scrolling through social media, watching a movie, or driving on autopilot, we often become so focused or absorbed that the outside world fades into the background. These are natural, everyday examples of a relaxed and focused hypnotic state of mind. During a hypnosis session, it is this natural ability that is used to create a focused and relaxed state, allowing individuals to engage with their thoughts, memories, or imagination in a different more intentional way. Through this process, some explore the connection between the conscious and subconscious mind. Just as daydreaming or getting lost in a book can bring attention to new details, hypnosis offers a space for guided reflection and exploration.

What are hypnosis sessions like?
A hypnosis session feels much like daydreaming, but with a guide to help steer the experience. It’s a collaborative process between the hypnotist and the client. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of sleep or unconsciousness. Instead, it’s a heightened state of focus and awareness, where the client remains fully conscious of their surroundings. Importantly, individuals under hypnosis always retain control over their thoughts, actions, and decisions. They can freely accept or reject suggestions, and the hypnotist cannot make them do anything against their will or values.
During a session, clients are invited into a relaxing and supportive environment where they can explore suggestions, affirmations, new perspectives, and narratives. Some people may notice a shift in their thoughts or feelings afterward. Since personal growth can be a gradual process, multiple sessions might provide ongoing opportunities for reflection and exploration of different thought patterns.
